Danielle Cutrer, LPC – Licensed Professional Counselordanielle2

Danielle Cutrer, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is a native to Phoenix, Arizona.  She graduated from the University of Phoenix with her Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.  She enjoys working with teens, young adults, and career-aged individuals and couples.  She is an EMDR therapist trained in trauma resolution.  She completed her internship with Christian Family Care Agency in Phoenix, AZ where she studied Attachment Theory and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples.

She uses EFT interventions with couples that focus on creating safety and security through healthy partner attachment.  By incorporating a faith based approach to counseling, she seeks to help each client find hope. She has a deep love for healthy living, nutrition, her husband Joseph, and a Christ-centered life.

Danielle was working under the supervision of Jennifer Cecil. M. Ed, LPC  for two years as an LAC and currently works at our Scottsdale and Arrowhead location. Ashley Renee Gunn, M.S. – Licensed Associate Counselor

Ashley Gunn, M.S., LAC is a Licensed Associate Counselor living in Surprise, AZ with her husband of 6 years. Ashley has been a Bible-believing Christ-follower since childhood and has a vibrant and intentional faith. Ashley holds a Bachelors of Science in Behavioral Health/Family Studies with a minor in Biblical Studies from Southwestern College in Phoenix, AZ and a Masters of Science in Counseling/Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy from University of Phoenix located in Ontario, CA. Ashley completed her educational practicum requirements by providing counseling services to the Inland Empire in California in cooperation with the University of Phoenix Counseling Skills Center.

Ashley is contracted to provide counseling services in Arizona with the supervision of Jennifer Cecil, M.Ed, LPC under the umbrella of “Christian Counseling Services” while earning hours towards independent licensure.

Ashley is currently accepting new clients at all “Christian Counseling Services” locations: ​

Metrocenter: Mondays and Wednesdays

Scottsdale: Tuesdays and Saturdays

Arrowhead: Thursdays and Fridays

Kim Nunez

Kim Nunez is a supervised intern, in process of obtaining her LAC (licensed associate counselor) credentials in April 2017.  She graduated from Ottawa university with a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, and continued her education in their Masters of Practicing Counselor program.

Her background includes, case management with diverse populations of individuals and needs, advocacy, and career development. She has worked in transitional housing for women exiting domestic sex trafficking, and worked as a life skills specialist for a domestic violence shelter. Kim also has a background in image consulting and fitness coaching.

She enjoys working with women of all ages, children including: adolescents, and teens. She also has extensive experience working with couples and young adults in life transition. Her specialization and focus is on trauma and attachment related issues.

She incorporates a faith based approach to counseling, with an emphasis on a Biblical world-view. Kim’s style of therapy is person-centered and empathic. She desires to create a safe and supportive environment for the individuals whom she has the privilege of meeting.

Kim is married to Clint, and they enjoy outdoor activities, and spending time with family.

Kim will be working directly under the supervision of Jennifer Cecil. M. Ed, LPC at our Scottsdale and Metrocenter  locations.



Chris Akard

index_44Chris Akard has been the owner and operator of the Akard Personal Fitness Group in South Scottsdale since 1995. He has been a fitness professional for 26 years and  has regularly appeared as a fitness expert on Channel 3 (KTVK) for 16 years. Chris has a passion for helping people become whole in all areas of life. To that end, he is pursuing a Psychology degree from Grand Canyon University. He is a certified life coach through the American Association of Christian Counselors. Chris coaches from a Christian worldview and recognizes the importance of spirituality in health/ wholeness.

Through a focus on nutrition and exercise, Chris has been successful in treating those with anxiety, depression, and a host of other mental health issues. In addition, he is an expert in the area of middle age nutrition and weight loss/ management. Chris and Jen collaborate on clients when necessary and his studio is conveniently located only minutes away from Jen’s SCOTTSDALE location.

Nate Terlisner

Nathan Terlisner, M.S.A.C., is working on his 2ndMaster’s Degree in Counseling. Nate has a Bachelor Degree in Ministry and is active in his church as a Life Group Leader.

He has a passion for Discipleship and Counseling and helping people get freedom in their lives and live out their true identity! Nate has a Master Degree completed in Addiction Counseling and is currently completing his Practicum for a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University.

Nate longs to see people get healing from hurt and wounds in life and live life to the fullest.

Nate is under the Supervision of Jennifer Cecil, M.Ed. LPC. Nate is also a member of American Association of Christian Counselors.



Perry Emerick 

Perry Emerick has spent his whole professional life serving and caring for people. After completing his undergraduate degree in youth ministry and being ordained in 1996, he has been ministering in various roles for over 22 years across all age groups. As a result of his counseling people in a pastoral role, Perry felt called to increase his skill and ability in this area and is currently finishing up his Master’s degree in Christian Counseling from Grand Canyon University.

Of special interest for Perry is working with men and coupleswho have been stuck in their life through a variety of challenges including traumatic experiences and addictions to pornography. He has witnessed first-hand the destructive nature of these issues on the individual, couples, families and society and has a passion to help men experience freedom, healing and hope.

Perry is married with three children and loves spending time around anything with water, specifically scuba and boating, as well as hiking and the outdoors.

 



Tony Ziolko

Tony was born and raised in western Pennsylvania and currently lives in the Phoenix area with his wife and 2 children. He is a counseling intern currently finishing his Master’s Degree from Fort Hays State University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Tony is an ordained minister and most recently served as an Associate Pastor in the Wichita, Kansas area focusing in Worship Arts, Communications, and Prayer for 4 years and has worked with various churches in a pastoral capacity 6 years in total. Tony decided to pursue counseling full time and will be finishing his degree May 2018 and then pursuing licensure. Tony holds Level 1 training in EMDR and has previous counseling experience in pastoral ,crisis , grief , pre-marital counseling, counseling and individual counseling.

He has a passion for helping people wherever they are in life and finding hope and healing in every situation. Tony firmly believes in the redemptive power of the gospel and that people are not identified by their choices or problems but rather by their identity is in Christ.
